Day 14: FD & ND Mockup Final Refinements & 3D Icons

 🗓️ Date: 23 Oct 2025

📌 Title: FD & ND Mockup Approval and Final Refinements

Task Description

Day 14 marked an important milestone as I received approval for the FD and ND mockups. My supervisor also introduced me to the Business User (BU), who is one of the key decision-makers for iFAST Global Bank. Additionally, I had a meeting with Vanessa, who initially requested the FD and ND revamp, to further finalise and align on the mockup details. These discussions helped ensure that the designs met both business and user expectations.

Challenges & Solutions

During the review of the 1% cashback campaign visuals, I received feedback that the 3D icon I used did not align well with the overall project design. My supervisor then shared a Shutterstock author known for creating metallic 3D artwork that the team commonly uses. To address this, I decided to look for a more suitable 3D icon that better matches the existing visual style and maintains consistency across the project.

Key Learnings & Skills Gained

I learned the importance of design consistency, especially when working on large projects involving multiple stakeholders and campaigns. Being introduced to a Business User also gave me exposure to how design decisions are reviewed at a higher, more strategic level. Additionally, I gained insight into how teams maintain a consistent visual identity by sourcing assets from trusted creators.

Reflection & Next Steps

Day 14 highlighted how approval and stakeholder alignment play a crucial role in the design process. Moving forward, I will focus on sourcing a more suitable 3D icon for the cashback campaign and finalising all remaining details to ensure the designs are cohesive and ready for implementation.
