Day 29: Back Office Table Review & Component Positioning Challenge

🗓️ Date: 13 Nov 2025

📌 Title: Back Office Table Review & Component Positioning Challenge

Task Description

Today was my twenty-ninth day of internship. I asked my supervisor to review all my tables in the back office before I finalized and clipped them. During this process, I learned more about sticky buttons/components and how they improve usability. I also linked all modules with the Settlement module, as the Settlement team requested to view the mockup.

Challenges & Solutions

A major challenge was related to Figma components. When a component is set to absolute position, the width cannot be set to Fixed. I tried researching and testing the issue on my own but found that it was not possible. I then asked my supervisor for help to confirm the limitation.

Key Learnings & Skills Gained

I learned more about Figma’s component behaviors and constraints, especially the limitations when using absolute positioning. I also improved my understanding of how to organize and link multiple modules for stakeholder review.

Reflection & Next Steps

Day 29 taught me that some design tools have limitations that require alternative approaches. Moving forward, I will continue refining the back office tables based on feedback and explore other ways to manage component layouts in Figma.
