πŸ“Œ Title: Monday Blues & Getting Back into the Flow

Task Description

Today was my thirty-sixth day of internship, and it definitely came with some Monday blues. I started the day working on the Policy Cash Drawdown Loan Repayment project, focusing on refining UI components. One key improvement was updating disabled states — instead of only making the text lighter in colour, I changed the component background to grey to better indicate that it is disabled. I then added these updates into both the design library and the component set to ensure consistency.

After that, I continued working on the Cash ISA Transfer-In project, addressing the comments and feedback provided by Joanna. This involved refining the mockups and making adjustments to better align with business expectations.

Challenges & Solutions

The main challenge today was getting back into work mode after the weekend. To overcome this, I focused on smaller, concrete tasks first, such as fixing components, which helped me ease back into a productive rhythm. Interpreting and implementing feedback accurately also required careful attention, but breaking it down into actionable changes made it manageable.

Key Learnings & Skills Gained

I learned the importance of clear visual cues in UI design, especially for accessibility and usability, improving disables states made the interface more intuitive.

Reflection & Next Steps

Moving forward, I’ll continue refining the Cash ISA Transfer-In mockups and ensure that component updates are consistently applied across projects.
