Day 48: What a busy day!

πŸ—“️ Date: 10 Dec 2025

πŸ“Œ Title: What a busy day!

Task Description

Day 48 started with follow-ups from the Settlement meeting the day before. As my SV had to attend another Back Office, related meeting on different matters, he entrusted me to remain in the Settlement discussion since I was the one who created the Settlement module mockups. Today, I updated him on all the changes and points discussed.

At 10 AM, I joined another meeting to walk through Transaction module changes, aligning on updated requirements and expected UI behaviour.

After the meeting, I worked quickly to implement the required amendments. By around 3 PM, most of my assigned tasks were completed, leaving me with some capacity. Instead of waiting idly, I proactively reached out to my SV for more work. He then looped me into Account module changes, where I helped make updates by referring closely to the user requirements spreadsheet.

Later on, I was also tasked with minor amendments to the Compliance module, mainly involving adding and removing columns to reflect updated requirements.

Challenges & Solutions

The main challenge was juggling multiple modules and ensuring accuracy across different requirement sources. Carefully cross-referencing the user requirements spreadsheet helped minimise mistakes and ensured consistency across designs. Proactively asking for more work also helped make better use of available time.

Key Learnings & Skills Gained

I gained more confidence in owning modules end-to-end, especially when representing designs in meetings without my SV present. I also strengthened my ability to interpret requirement documents and translate them efficiently into design changes.

Reflection & Next Steps

Day 48 felt productive and empowering. Being trusted to stay in meetings and drive updates independently was encouraging, and having the capacity to support additional modules reinforced my growing familiarity with the Back Office system. Next steps will be to continue refining these modules and support any further clarifications or iterations needed.
