Day 78: iFAST Pay UAT
🗓️ Date: 26 Jan 2026
📌 Title: iFAST Pay UAT
Task Description
I spent almost the entire day working on iFAST Pay UAT. This involved testing the app on our test device by going through each flow step by step to ensure all functions were working properly. At the same time, I reviewed the UI to check whether it matched the mockups. Any issues or concerns I identified were reported in Jira, our project management tool, where the IT team and other testers can view and take action on them.
I discovered several UI-related issues, including incorrect padding, inconsistent font sizes, improper spacing between elements, and the use of incorrect icon libraries. For each issue logged in Jira, I created a new board and included details such as the title, description, tester name, and date. I also used a comparison table to display the UAT and mockup versions side by side for clearer reference.
Before lunch, we had a fire drill, so everyone had to walk down the stairs from the 13th floor to the designated assembly point beside the office building, definitely a great Monday morning workout to fight off the Monday blues. After lunch, I worked on my weekly team meeting slides in preparation for the 4 pm meeting.
Challenges & Solutions
There were no major challenges today, as I enjoyed working on the UAT and the overall workload was quite manageable.
Key Learnings & Skills Gained
I learned how to conduct UAT in greater depth compared to when I assisted Eric last week. iFAST Pay has more features to test, so I paid closer attention to details, focusing on issues that others might have overlooked or failed to notice.
I was also introduced to another project management tool, Jira, which I found very helpful for cross-team collaboration. It allows everyone to stay aligned, with tasks clearly delegated and progress easily tracked, helping to reduce human error and miscommunication.
